Data Center

Data centers operate with mission-critical electrical systems that require high reliability, high efficiency, and continuous operation. UPS systems, server power supplies, precision cooling equipment, variable-frequency pumps, and backup power systems can generate harmonic currents, neutral current, reactive power demand, and three-phase imbalance.

CNBYG provides APF and SVG-based power quality solutions to help data centers improve power reliability, reduce energy losses, and support green, high-efficiency operation.

Solution Overview

Modern data centers are power-intensive facilities with a large number of non-linear loads. UPS systems and server switch-mode power supplies may inject harmonic currents into the distribution system. These harmonics can increase transformer and cable temperature, reduce system capacity, and affect the reliability of power distribution equipment.

CNBYG’s APF Active Power Filter mitigates harmonics in real time and reduces neutral current caused by triplen harmonics. For facilities with power factor fluctuation or reactive power demand, CNBYG’s SVG Static Var Generator provides dynamic reactive power compensation to improve power factor and voltage stability.

Customer Challenges

UPS systems and server power supplies generate harmonic currents.

Triplen harmonics may cause excessive neutral current.

Harmonics increase transformer, cable, and busbar temperature.

Three-phase imbalance affects distribution system stability.

Low power factor reduces available system capacity.

Poor power quality may increase losses and affect equipment lifetime.

Lack of real-time power quality data makes maintenance difficult.

CNBYG Solution

CNBYG uses APF Active Power Filter as the core device for data center harmonic mitigation. The APF monitors load current in real time, identifies harmonic components, and injects compensation current to reduce harmonic distortion.

For data centers with reactive power fluctuation or power factor problems, CNBYG integrates SVG to provide fast and accurate reactive power compensation. The combined APF + SVG system helps improve harmonics, power factor, voltage stability, and load balance.

The solution can be designed with modular APF cabinets, redundant configurations, and intelligent monitoring interfaces to meet the reliability requirements of modern data center facilities.
